My Beloved Flyers

I'm detouring from music to vent. What is happening with my Flyers?!! They're aweful. In years past they either gave us winning ways or tremendous hits, beat-downs, and overall spirited play, and many seasons combined both. This year, nothing. They can't find the opposing net, the defense gets skated through and around like traffic cones, and there's no grit. Even with the monumental shake up of Clarke stepping down and Hitchcock getting the axe, nothing.

The sophmore group has to step up, Umberger, Richards (future captain), Carter etc. and the old guys have turn it on. Hatcher is a deer in headlights most nights.

So they resign Todd Fedoruk, he'll bring some punch, literally, back to the club, after his face heals from getting it shattered with help from Derrick Boogaards fist. Check it out at www.youtube.com and search Boogaard vs. Fedoruk and get ready to squeam. While there search Flyers vs. Sens Brawl and Leafs vs. Flyers brawl, great stuff.

Anyway come on Flyers turn it around and at least look interested in playing hockey.

Thanks that is all for now. Next back to trivial music talk!

FLYERS!!!

I don't think they are dead just yet. There is too much talent on that team for them to finish the season in the cellar, and it's a long season.

Still, maybe you should re-tape your stick and get your skates sharpened....

My skates are sharp and the family has been instructed to stay off the phone in case Eddie Snyder calls.

They must have read my blog!!! They went out to The Pond last night and whupped up on the team formally known as the Mighty Ducks.

Way to go boys!

It's a long season and they are a talented enough team to put together one of those record setting win streaks.

They manage to do something like that and they are right back in it.

Beside, just about everyone in hockey makes the playoffs, right?
